Q&A with the presidential candidates
Our article, “Road to the White House: An Open Letter to the Presidential Candidates,” (Municipal Leader, Spring 2008) offered insight into why Ohio—and especially Northeast Ohio—will play a vital role in the 2008 presidential outcome. Recognizing the importance Northeast Ohio will play in an election that is less than 75 days away, both Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Senator Barack Obama (D-Ill.) have responded to a series of questions posed from leaders throughout Northeast Ohio.
The questions asked were specifically related to the issues that demand attention in the Northeast Ohio region, such as our economy, public education, infrastructure repairs and energy policy.
